Full Life

How does one define a fulfilling life? Where do they based it – is it on how wealthy they have become? Is it on fame, on being well known? That’s how this material world operates. How about if you barely had anything? If you were considered a loser and a nobody in the society? Does that mean you have not reached your full potential?

GOD has a different measuring gauge and it’s not the same with us humans. It’s deeper and more meaningful. It’s hard to understand but if you spend enough time, it’s a lot more worthy and pleasing. It’s never easy to go against the flow of this world, especially if you are surrounded by people who have been so used to the norms. But once we ask for help from the Lord, he will send out the Holy Spirit, and he will reveal GOD’s perfect will to us.

He will endow us with strength to fight temptation, he will guide us, so we won’t be misled and accompany us until the end of our journey wherein our Heavenly Father awaits us with special greetings reserved only for his faithful and steadfast servants.

Short Sighted

Being bombarded by problems left and right will leaves us exhausted. And if you’re already drained, it’s easy for the enemy to attack. The adversary will start with doubt that help will come. If indeed there was a delay for any expected support, you’ll be bored waiting. Then you will devise solutions to get out of the mess you are in.

What if GOD wanted us to wait? Maybe he is testing our faith on how much we can endure for his plans to unfold and take place? But since we we’re in a hurry, we choose to bypass him? As expected, regret is a costly wage. But if we seek first the Holy Spirit’s Guidance, we will learn how to be resilient and look forward to the Lord’s promise of an eternally rewarding future.

Overlooked

This is a story of a once enthusiastic and hopeful person. She dreamt of good things and strived hard to get what she wants. She fought the good fight, but no matter what she did, she always ended up losing. So, she ceases striving and instead learned to compromise. She shoved her dreams aside just to take up the huge responsibility left unattended. Although she was not meant to shoulder it alone herself.

She learned to smile even though she felt like crying. She celebrated other people’s success and kept wondering at night when her time will come or if it will ever come at all. She swallowed the unjust criticism and betrayal and pretended to be okay even though she was already hurting. Although tired and weary, she healed others and soothe their wounds by her kind words and encouragement.

When she was in need, she was afraid to ask for help – not out of pride but because she understands that everybody is dealing with their own problems and doesn’t want to add up to their burdens. She prayed hard and hoped for the best, not only for herself but for others as well. She may not be the Proverbs 31 kind of woman mentioned in the Bible. Yet she did what she can, remained steadfast and placed her faith in the one true GOD who sees it all – and that alone made all the difference.

3-in-1

Nope, I’m not talking about the Coffee sachets available here in the Philippines but of the Holy Trinity: GOD the Father (Our Creator), The Lord Jesus Christ – only begotten son (Our Redeemer) and the Holy Spirit – the encourager (Sanctifier). Have you ever wondered why GOD had to have 3 personas? I may never know the mystery behind it for as long as I live. Yet somehow, I liked it that way. I read a verse in the Bible that nothing unholy can come before GOD. It’s kind of alarming when that sinks in to your mind especially if you are aware of the sins you have committed.

However, it’s comforting to know the truth that Jesus obeyed the Heavenly Father and gave up his life just to save us from eternal damnation. It means we have eternity in heaven after this earthly life ends if we placed our faith in our Savior. But we all know that for as long as we exist in this world, we’re prone to temptation and eventually sin. That’s why GOD sent the Holy Spirit and gave us gifts which will help, guide and encourage us to choose good over bad.

Amazing, right? GOD the Heavenly Father, Our Lord Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit all three in one – provided all we need so we won’t have any excuse at all to drift away from them.

Metamorphosis

There’s a lot of “flexing” going around in the social media this days. While some of them meant to encourage and inspire others to do good, most of them do harm when the viewers or followers are envious or jealous of the other person’s achievements.

What to do if you’ve been feeling left out or loser? It’s easy to advise not to compare ourselves with one another. There are some who choose to go “offline” in social media, so they won’t be tempted to compete with somebody whom they only frequently see online.

The wiser ones however choose to remain grounded by spending their time with the Heavenly Father. They drenched themselves with the Lord’s word by reading the Bible, watching devotionals and following Godly influencers who guides them towards discovering their identity as GOD’s adopted children.

Just like a butterfly slowly coming out of its cocoon, the Holy Spirit will empower those who thoughtfully seek HIM to be transformed into the best version of themselves GOD has intended them to be, long before they we’re born in this world.

GOD’s Choice

Do you have a childhood dream which you have not fulfilled until now? Or do you have a passion which you knew only you can do it best but somehow the odds are always against you? Just in case there were no financial constraints or huge responsibility and other obstacles for you to pursue your interest, what would it be? Maybe you’re wondering about this question.

It’s because there are a lot of people confused about their true calling. They’re asking themselves and other people or sometimes they just follow what others are doing hoping it would be their destiny. It’s easy to discern our true purpose on this earth. All we need is to pray and ask for GOD’s guidance, He is after all our creator and knows best what our contribution on this world would be. If we choose solitude to reflect, we will realize that our Heavenly Father has been communicating to us all along. Sometimes, he is slowly revealing his plans for our lives while we are too preoccupied to notice it.

Often, it’s not easy to reach for our dreams, because the Lord has intentionally designed it that way. He wants us to get through a lot of challenges to test our faith, for us to grow and become resilient. Once we have surpassed all the hurdles, there will no longer be any doubts about our capabilities. Then we will know that GOD’s plan is truly good – because he molds us to be the right person for the dream he placed in our heart and be worthy of the blessing that follows our obedience towards his will.

Cauldron of Experiences

Life is filled with a myriad of possibilities and opportunities. Often, it’s full of uncertainties, difficulties and struggles before we reached fulfillment.

Our personalities are shaped by the way we react and deal with the circumstances we encounter. It can either turn out good or bad based on our decisions and actions.

A prudent person guided by the Holy Spirit, cautiously studies the pattern on each season and learns from what they endure. As they do so, they become wiser each time the same scenarios occur and makes the right judgement drawn from their own cauldron of experiences.

For these people, they are aware that they always have a constant companion who never left their side in each season of their lives – the Faithful and Benevolent GOD. That’s why they possess a great calm and peace in their hearts even if everything else is falling apart.

The World’s Mold

The world we live in is too noisy. As we watch the Celebrities on television, the Influencers on social media and the variety of advertisements we see on Billboards and Print Ads, we’ll get drowned on what they are promoting.

Sometimes when we try to bond with our peers and loved ones, there are chances that we find ourselves influenced by their opinions. Who and what we spent times more help shapes our thinking which can later manifest in our actions and eventually become a habit.

It’s so hard to resist it as the world tries to fit you into its mold – materialism and short-term happiness which won’t really benefit you in the long run. You’ll only get lost and ultimately forget your own personality.

GOD created each one of us uniquely. He has a special purpose for every person in his grand plan. That’s why he gave us with different gifts, talents and strengths for the mission that we will fulfill for him on this earth.

If we choose to prioritize the Lord above all, we will not be easily swayed into the ways of this world. Having a solid grounding with our Heavenly Father ensures us of a firm grasp on our identity – a child of GOD.

Stay in your Lane

Nowadays, it’s so hard to focus. A lot of distractions are present competing for our attention, especially if you drown yourself in social media.

Comparison trap is prevalent and it’s common for someone to be jealous and envious of other people’s achievement. It’s not so easy to discern the truth from lies.

Staying true to your core is quite challenging. Compromising becomes normal. But for true followers of Christ, we are commanded to remain firm amidst deceit.

Integrity is a rare commodity, but we can achieve it if we abide in GOD and persist on doing good despite the challenges. Staying faithful until the end.

Bread of Life

In the Greek Mythology, their gods have what they call Ambrosia – a food intended for them to maintain their immortality and eternal youth. During Moises time, the Israelites were fed with manna from heaven while they were in the desert. While the former is intended solely for Divine beings, the latter was a providence given to mortals by the Heavenly Father.

Throughout Jesus stint, the Lord mentioned about the Bread of life – a food that never spoils and can sustain us in eternity. Although he mentioned it in metaphorical style, he did emphasize the essence of shifting our perspective from temporal to eternal nourishment.

When you are worried by so many responsibilities and difficulties in life, it’s so easy to compromise the future in favor of the present. And if we did, we lose sight of what’s more valuable in the long run. GOD always want us to remain steadfast, and we can only do that if we feed daily on his word. It will keep us firm and resolute on his will as we faced daily challenges.
